This is a personal rod, which was stored as a back-up rod and never used. It was built in 2018. Made on premium USA made blank (made by G. Loomis/currrently North Fork), with moderate action. The blank has a satin natural graphite finish. The rod features burnt orange micarta/oxidized nickel silver seat, oxidized guides and red agate stripper, flor grade Powell-inspired grip. Silk wraps are very dark, translucent burnt orange. The black aluminum tube has few scratches from storage.

This is a short 4wt, (6', 3pc,) built for small stream fishing. Brisk dry fly action. Used a couple of times only. It features a ventilated Ritz grip, stacked bamboo seat, apricot guide wraps, spigot ferrules. Tricolor signature wrap. Comes with the cloth bag, no tube. (The reel in the photo is for photographic purposes only.)

I built this rod for a particular small, brushy stream which contains some large browns. The taper has plenty of power to turn larger fish away from the holes in the bank, while still presenting flies delicately.

This is a shorter 6wt (7'10", 4pc) fly rod, built on a Diamondback Saltwater Flex graphite blank. Barely noticeable soiling on the grip from two afternoons of fishing. I built this rod  for my local flats fishing, since the fish are small. This is a medium-fast rod which loads easy for short and precise casts. It would also be an excellent streamer rod for large trout, landlocked salmon or bass. 

Ventilated Ritz grip with high density composite cork in the upper half, integrated fighting butt reel seat, TiCH snakes and SiC stripping guides and tip top with SiC insert. Comes with a cloth bag and will be packed in PVC tube for transport.

Long hybrid glass rod, with true parabolic action. Regressive taper in the butt section. Thinner diameter phenolic glass butt section, stronger mid and light S glass tip. Deep controlled flex, with good power for long casts with a light line. Flamed brown finish. Corduroy rod cloth and cordura covered PVC tube with the strap.

FOR SALE: DEMO Unstructured Glass for TFM 804-4 (8'0" 4wt), SOLD

 This was a demo rod for The Fiberglass Manifesto loan program. It is in remarkable shape. While the rod cloth has few small stains, the rod almost looks unfished. This series of rods really went "under the radar." A true 4wt medium fast taper, blonde glass. Exceptionally nice quality flor cork handle, burgundy micarta seat w/bright hardware (tapered ring), and hand-painted "brookie spots" artwork by my signature wraps. Matching color guide wraps with red single turn thread inlays. Guides are original Belmar-style Mildrum stripper and Snake Brand snakes and tip top. The rod comes with its custom cloth, and will be shipped in a sturdy PVC tube, since the original aluminum tube was lost. It was built four years ago.

Tobacco glass butt with glass-ferruled bamboo tips. Original prototype 7'3" #4, tried on the lawn and briefly on the stream for casting evaluation. Excellent+ condition. Comes with two tips (only tip #2 was used during casting sessions), handmade heavy canvas sock, ferrule stopper, aluminum tube.

This is my personal rod and the first complete Unstructured Glass 804-4  prototype, built in March 2014. The rod has been fished, and remains in excellent shape. The rod features slim Ritz grip, handcrafted burnt orange micarta reel seat with white micarta button, blued nickel silver slip ring, and blued Snake Brand guides with matching stripper/tip top. Wraps are in burnt orange/yellow jasper thread. Rod comes with its original rod bag and a brand new brushed aluminum tube.

The Unstructured Fiberglass fly rods are out of stock. However, I will occasionally post different newly built rods for sale here, so please check back!
